Aussie made oat milk.
It’s been 5000 years since humankind started sowing wild oats, and they’re as sustainable as ever, and grown all over Australia (we love our Aussie farmers).
Food production is one of the leading contributors to the negative impact on the climate, and a growing number of consumers are choosing plant-based milks as a more environmentally friendly option.
But not all dairy alternatives are created equal; a University of Oxford study found the carbon footprint of oat milk is around one-third that of dairy milk, and lower than the carbon footprint of almond and rice milk.
We are climate positive
We’ve crunched the numbers and we’re carbon positive. We try to tread lightly, have solar panels at our warehouse, and we’ve been planting trees in the WA wheatbelt annually since 2019, to address the over-clearing of trees, soak up carbon and reduce soil salinity.
We are recyclable
Tetra Pak Cartons are the most sustainable packaging option for beverages in Australia and are fully recyclable. To find out how to recycle Tetra Paks visit Planet Ark - Planet Ark Recycling Near You. This will help you to identify your closest collection point if kerbside pickup is not available through your local council.
We’re excited that Tetra Pak and saveBOARD opened a new recycling facility in Sydney’s south-west in February 2023. It will process up to 4,000 tonnes of beverage cartons, collected through the deposit schemes and kerbside recycling each year and turn them into walls or floorboards.
Besides end-of-life, Tetra Pak cartons have a great foundation as they have a low carbon footprint throughout their entire lifecycle compared to competing packaging systems.
